Update on Car Accident and Injured Walkers

June 2, 2012

As many of you may know through prayer requests that have been sent out, some members of the Crossroads group that started walking in San Francisco were involved in a car accident on Thursday morning in Nevada. They were struck by another vehicle while in our minivan that we use for transportation and safety of people when they are out walking. Two men and two women were in the vehicle at the time – the two women were injured and taken to the hospital with moderate to serious injuries.

Both girls are doing much better but are still in need of prayers for healing and recovery. They are currently in a hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah and have family members with them along with members of our team. The driver of the minivan was also very shook up after the accident and has gone home to recuperate – please keep them all in your prayers! Check back here for more updates, we will keep you posted.

If you would like to make a Tax-Deductible Donation to help us cover the expenses of these volunteers and their families during this difficult time, you can do so now by clicking here.

Thank you for your prayers and support!

My prayers go out to the injured walkers and their families and the CrossRoads teams. I would like to send mass cards for healing to the injured CrossRoads walkers. Do we have an address to send such cards?

I’m glad to hear that the injured are improving. If the accident was in Nevada, why are they in a hospital in Utah? I will continue to pray for them.

Thank you so much for your prayers Peggy! Regarding your question, since the girls were not near a major city, they had to be transported to Salt Lake City. Both girls are now back home with their families. Please continue to pray for them and their continued recovery. God bless!

Rosary will be prayed for all of those in the accident. I will also see on Thursday if our KofC Council would like to donate to help the families.

Sister Lucia of Fatima told Father Fuentes in 1957 :”Look, Father, the Most Holy Virgin, in these last times in which we live, has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Holy Rosary. She has given this efficacy to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all, spiritual, in the private life of each one of us, of our families, of the families of the world, of the religious communities or even of the life of peoples and nations, that cannot be resolved through the prayer of the Rosary. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve through the recitation of the Holy Rosary. (The Fourth Secrete of Fatima, Antonio Socci, Loreto Publications, 2009, pp 99-102).
Dear Nicole, Dear Miriam, we prayed the rosary at Wright Street together in Sacramento and I will be praying the rosary for your mission, your recovery to health, and for all the problems and the blessings to come in your young lives. I bless you, asking for your perseverance in trials, your peace, your sanctity and the ultimate joy one day of seeing how your sufferings and sacrifices have turned the tide in our nation, our world for the Culture of Life.
I pray that God’s plan is brought into effect and that every act of the enemy may end up for the glory of God! (Feb 7, 1985 message of Medjugorje.)

Thank you all so much for your kind messages, prayers, and support! It really means a lot to those involved in the accident as well as all of the other walkers on our Central Walk.

Two of my children Devaney & Michael are walking on the Southern Walk. I hold every Pro-Life walker near and dear to my heart. I will continue to pray for each of you daily and call upon St. Michael to guard and protect you all, against the enemy. I pray that those of you injured on this journey, find the strength to offer up your sufferings to our Lord in atonement for the sins of the world. May our Lord send His healing power down upon you. “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Blessings!
